Papal Pandemonium

About 3 weeks ago, I was introduced to a character from Marvel that I previously had no knowledge of. His name is Gallowglass and he's the son of Thanos (a big baddie) It's also a class of Scot warriors. I made a note to myself when this name and term came into my life. It was an experiment of sorts, to see how long it might take for gallowglass to pop up again without me deliberately seeking it out. The day has come. On Cupid's birthday none the less. While looking at the filmography of Michael Sheen, an actor I like, I see that one of his credits is for a film called....you guessed it...."Gallowglass". I felt like that was a big enough sign to catapult me in to posting about a recent pope sync that blew my socks off.

Monday February 11th, 2013, as we all know, is the date that Pope Benedict announced his resignation from the dark throne of darkness. This is a pretty big deal. Regardless if you buy in to the 'Peter the Roman "conspiracy"'. This is the first time a pope has resigned in some 700 years. Talk about an historical moment. I woke up to this news and found it odd to say the least, just because March 2013 was already in my head as a potential "End of times" date. But Dec. 21, 2012 came and went, so I'll keep that idea on the back burner for the time being.  It's perfect timing though. Apparently, the 112th pope will be the last pope, before end times. Benedict is 111th. So take that as you will.

So on to the sync. Probably around 7 or 8pm on Monday, my brother Nick tells me about a book he was just reading (He reads about 2 or 3 a week, I believe). The book being 'Bel-Ami'.  A French novel from the 19th century. I acknowledged this, but really didn't give it much thought. Fast forward a couple hours. I end up bringing up (seemingly on a whim) the story of Jesus walking on water. Being someone who knows very little about the bible, I questioned whether or not the story shows up in the holy book or was a story made up, later on. QUICK, TO WIKIPEDIA! Nick simply searches, 'Jesus walking on water.' Wouldn't ya know it, a page for that specific miracle exists. And the very first image on the page is this:

Here's where things get weird. Nick tells me that the painting on the page was described in a scene in 'Bel-Ami'. In fact, it was the last thing he read about, in said book. This is odd to say the least.  There are many pictures of Jesus walking on water. But for whatever reason, the wikipedia page used THIS one. We racked our brains for the rest of the night. How did this happen?

Did I subconsciously read Nick's thoughts?
Did I read Bel-Ami in a past life and plan the connection unknowingly?
Maybe because of my Catholic upbringing, some thing within me triggered because everyone was thinking about the pope that day?
Or perhaps it was just a simple act of fate?

But the question isn't how. It's why. Let's say Jesus walking on water, or the metaphor within, was a mystical message from a higher power. What could it/she/he be trying to tell us?

Let's add a little lighter fluid to these charcoals of curiosity.  Here's the story from the bible:

And straightway he constrained the disciples to enter into the boat, and to go before him unto the other side, till he should send the multitudes away.
23 And after he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain apart to pray: and when even was come, he was there alone.
24 But the boat was now in the midst of the sea, distressed by the waves; for the wind was contrary.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came unto them, walking upon the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee upon the waters.
29 And he said, Come. And Peter went down from the boat, and walked upon the waters to come to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and took hold of him, and saith unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 And when they were gone up into the boat, the wind ceased.
33 And they that were in the boat worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Yeah, so Peter was the one involved in this story.  Peter being the name of the inevitable papal replacement.  Yes, you can say, "Well, Peter was in a lot of the bible" He was. But so was Mark, Matthew, John, Ezekial, fucking a ton of people were in that book. The indisputable fact here, is that PETER was featured in the miracle.

Let's end this with some pictures.  I searched for Peter Turkson, the supposed Petrus Romanus. On his wikipedia page lies this image:

And if you wikipedia search: Papal Conclave, 2013, you get THIS image:

Both have different objects on top, but both look like flying saucers to me. Especially Peter Turkson's. That's the shit I used to draw in 4th grade.
Lately, I have found that when I research heavily in to some kind of synchronicity or just an esoteric subject, it always seems to come back to aliens.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

UPDATE: 2/20/2013
I forgot to mention in the original post, what happened to St. Peter's church after the Pope resigned.
 It looked something like this...

When I first read this article, the word basilica (Roman public building or the tribunal chamber of a King) stood out. It reminded me of the word basilisk. Which is a "legendary reptile reputed to be king of serpents...
How fitting.

Tuesday tuesday tuesday

So it was the afternoon of Wednesday, January 23rd that I was having lunch with my friend John. It never usually takes us long to get in to the esoteric discussions. I had mentioned to him how sometimes I'll rent 2 or 3 movies with little to no discernible connection and end up finding similarities. Whether it be theme, same actors, or even an obscure reference that just so happens to appear in both/all films.  Actually, I once watched the classic John Ritter rumpus, 'Stay Tuned' and realized how similar the plot was to the recent, 'Cabin in the Woods'.  Maybe I'll write an entry on that one day.

So Wednesday night, I decided to rent some vids. I end up getting 'The Three Musketeers', 'Tower Heist', and 'The Fourth Kind.'  I haven't seen any of them before and I watch them in that order. 'Three Musketeers' wasn't the worst thing ever, but it wasn't the best thing either. I got exactly what I expected out of it. At times, it was fun and action packed and the cast was good even if they didn't have a lot to work with. One line that is repeated twice in the film goes like this:

Constance: Are you always this cocky?
D'Artagnan: Only on Tuesdays...and whenever beautiful women are involved.

There are no other days mentioned throughout the film.

On to 'Tower Heist'. Pretty solid cast, but in the end, Eddie Murphy is the only one who can make me laugh. And as far as sex appeal goes, you will have to look elsewhere. All they give you is Tea Leoni and the girl from 'Precious'. Yeah, it is what it is. Tea plays a cop, Claire Denham, Ben Stiller is Josh Kovaks. There's one scene where they get a little tipsy together at a NY watering hole.

Claire: The last time I drank this much at a bar, I made out with a firefighter.
Josh: Really? How long ago was that?
Claire: Tuesday.
(They both laugh)

When this scene occurred, I was taken back a little. It was obvious enough of a reference to write down.

I watched 'The Fourth Kind' the next morning. I was waiting for a Tuesday reference. Of course, if the movie ended up having a scene where some woman reads her weekly planner aloud, then I wouldn't have counted it.  About an hour and 15 minutes in, I figured if it hadn't happened yet, it probably won't.
Low and behold:

Man interviewing main character:
Interviewer: Let's go back three days. To Tuesday.

And yes, that is the only time a day is mentioned throughout the entire film.

Also, there were about 6 or 7
33 or 333s. And SPOILER ALERT...the alien abductions occurred at 3:33 am.
It is what it is, and if it wasn't, it would be something else.

Besides these apparent Tuesday references, there were two other similarities to note.

Milla Jovovich appears in both 'Musketeers' and 'Fourth Kind'.

A chess game between Kovacs and his antagonist in 'Tower Heist' is an underlying theme throughout the movie and there is a chess match between the Cardinal and the young King of France in 'Musketeers'.

Tuesday
The English name is derived from Old English Tiwesdæg and Middle English Tewesday, meaning "Tīw's Day", the day of Tiw or Týr, the god of single combat, victory and heroic glory in Norse mythology. Tiw was equated with Mars in the interpretatio romana, and the name of the day is a translation of Latin dies Martis.

The Latin name dies Martis ("day of Mars") is equivalent to the Greek ἡμέρα Ἄρεως. In most languages with Latin origins (FrenchSpanishCatalanItalianRomanianGallicianSardinianCorsican, but notPortuguese), the day is named after Mars, the Roman god of war.

  • Black Tuesday, in the United States, refers to Tuesday, October 29, 1929, part of the great Stock Market Crash of 1929. This was the Tuesday after Black Thursday. The crash is said to have marked the start of the Great Depression.
  • Patch Tuesday is the second Tuesday of every month when Microsoft releases patches for their products. Some system administrators call this day Black Tuesday.
  • Shrove Tuesday (also called Mardi Gras - fat Tuesday) precedes the first day of Lent in the Western Christian calendar.
  • Super Tuesday is the day many American states hold their presidential primary elections.

-Wikipedia

I don't wish for anything bad to happen on Tuesday, and I hope me even talking about this, is okay. But let's just say that January 29th rolls around and something does occur, you can come back here and see the time stamp below. I may even be lucky and Tuesday could bring something good. Or Tuesday can come and go like most other Tuesdays.

If the universe was trying to convey messages via media, then Tuesday IS a message. What that message may entail, if anything, is up to me to figure out.

Blessed are the geek for they shall inherit the Earth

It's a very exciting time to be a geek. Cinema continues to evolve in to such an amazing and eclectic art form. It still blows my mind how good everything looks. Yeah, I know, 'Avatar' was the film that "changed" cinema. But if you ask me, what's a great looking film if it has little to no depth or heart? The older I get, the less I care about if the shot was filmed correctly and the more I focus on how the film can alter and expand the viewer's consciousness. It's just more fun that way.

Okay, now as an avid superhero fan since 1986, there are few superhero movies that I haven't at least tried to watch. I did however skip on Halle Berry's 'Catwoman'. But hey, 'Cloud Atlas' was so awesome, I may watch it for shits and giggs just because Halle is a part of that cool ass flick.  The first superhero movie I consider to be the start of the modern age of superhero cinema would probably be 2000's 'X-Men'. The movie was a hit and really opened the flood gates for more superhero properties. It was of course followed by 2 sequels, a spin-off, and a prequel. After 'X-Men's success, geeks around the world got to finally see their favorite superheroes get a chance at shining on the silver screen. Films like 'Daredevil', 'Spider-Man', 'Ghost Rider', 'The Punisher', yes, 'Catwoman', 'Hulk', 'Hellboy', 'The Watchmen', 'The Fantastic Four' and many more. Some were duds and some will forever be remembered.  It's now 12 years later, and these genre pics are getting even bigger and better. Filmmakers and producers are learning from past mistakes and finally catering to the needs of their biggest fan base....The Geeks.

'The Avengers'. It almost sounded like a dream come true.  Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and The Incredible Hulk all on screen at the same time?? Yeah, that definitely sounds wayyy too good to be true, and ambitious to say the least. Oh wait, Joss Whedon is going to direct it? Yeah, okay, sure. I'll believe it when I see it. And you know what folks? Seeing is believing because that shit was awesome. Sure the first two acts may be a bit slow in comparison to the whole, but oh man is the wait worth it. The third act and finale made the film. Whedon delivered the goods so well that I was legitimately surprised by just how terrific the final product turned out to be. So much so, that I'm currently counting down the minutes until 'The Avengers 2'.

So now I look to the future. What kind of tantalizing geeky properties do we get to feast our eyes on next.
Here's a few projects gestating that I can't wait to see.

Guillermo Del Toro. What a geek. For those who don't know, he's responsible for 'Blade 2' (my favorite 'Blade' installment), the two Hellboy films and 'Pan's Labyrinth'. And while the latter isn't considered geeky per se, it's still a very good movie.  His current project in the works is a little film called 'Pacific Rim'. While details are scarce and no truly revealing pictures have been released, the plot alone has me sold.

"When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace."

Two words: Fuck Yeah.

And if that's not enough, Del Toro recently expressed interest in making a DC film called "Heaven Sent" which would be an Avengers-style team up of the supernatural and magical entities of the DC universe. A superhero team film which would feature lesser known anti-heroes such as The Spectre, John Constantine, Swamp-Thing, Etrigan the Demon, Phantom Stranger, Deadman and Zatanna.

Yes Please. Why not spice up the genre and introduce a bombastic, grandiose horror-themed superhero movie? I guess 'Constantine' did that in 2005, but I remember how much better it could have been. The reason I think this will work is because these characters don't really need stand alone films. Use the best qualities of each character to make an amalgamation of otherworldly phantasmagoria.

Hey, did you happen to hear that story about some company called Disney buying Lucasfilm? Oh yeah Lucasfilm made 'Star Wars' by the way. That's right, there's going to be new Star Wars films. Now while that can go either way (we all saw 'The Phantom Menace') I stand optimistic. Just hoping for the best. At this point, that's all we can do.

A few more properties that are on my radar:

  • The Robocop remake (I may be the only one seeing the set pics of Robo's new suit and actually liking it).
  • Stan Lee recently announced that Black Panther and Dr Strange movies are on the way.
  • The sequels to 'Captain America' and 'Thor' as well as the threequel to 'Iron Man'.
  • 'The Twilight Zone' movie which has just announced, has a time travel theme (no surprise there).
  • Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel' (my fingers are crossed that it's nothing like 'Superman Returns' and that Kevin Costner doesn't stink up the joint).
  • 'The Wolverine' (which is apparently set after 'X-Men: The Final Stand', and that makes me even more excited).

Yes indeed, it is an exciting time to be a geek. Now if Bill Murray would agree to at least make a cameo in a third Ghosbusters, my brain may explode from pure unadulterated ecstasy.

Strange Days

For anyone who has read my previous posts, you'll notice that I frequently talk about the 333 phenomenon.
On August 23rd, 2012 (I think it's significant to note that the following events occurred on 23) I "accidentally" discovered a new blog while perusing the interwebs for some synchronistic goodies.  The blog in question is Mike Clelland's 'Hidden Experience'. So I'm scrolling through, just browsing, when 333 shows up. Of course it does. He has a post about a recent podcast he's done where he discusses 333 and its relation to UFOs. This is news to me. I've been probing the history of this number for the last 2 years, and never found any overwhelming evidence of it's connection with extraterrestrials. Besides of course the fact that Roswell, NM is located on the 33rd parallel and that the mountain that 33% of the angels descended upon, was supposedly on this same line.  I immediately download the podcast.

Mike talks about his own number syncs, specifically with 12345 and how he conversed with a girl named Megan on facebook. A woman who claimed to have been abducted by UFOs.  One night, he's watching the film 'Catfish' and the movie freezes on the scene occurring when the main character says something along the lines of, "Megan isn't who she said she is." Mike notices to his surprise that the timer on the DVD player reads, 1 hour 23 minutes and 45 seconds.  Later he discusses the 333/UFO connection.  3:33 am being a common time where people report having otherworldly encounters. 3:33 am also being a time where the human body would essentially be at its weakest and most vulnerable. His interview ended, and no more than second later, I look at the clock to make sure I won't run late for work. The oven clock reads 1:23 pm. If that wasn't a sign hitting me over the head, I don't what is.

I decided to look in to this alien abduction enigma more intently.  I found it very intriguing that not only is a number I've been seeing since puberty is involved but also owls. I can't remember when it started, but for at least 5 years now, I've had an urging to be surrounded by the animals. Now it's to the point where there are a dozen or so owl trinkets sitting on my bookcase, watching over me every night and the collection only continues to expand.  This is where "paranoia" steps in. A flood of thoughts fills my head. It's not possible I've been abducted right? I've never given the idea much thought. If any.  It seems to me that if you've had an experience with something beyond a human, that there would be some remnants of said event.  That's the problem with traumatic events though. The human mind is so powerful that if an individual experiences something overwhelmingly disturbing or intense, or perhaps just something so odd that it doesn't fit in your reality construct, then you will "forget" about it. Some inklings of a memory may remain or you might wipe it out completely. Repressed memories. They are scary. So I guess that the aliens doing these abductions could be using a technology that strictly inhibits recalling specific memories on their prey.  But also, it could be a simpler explanation. That these beings could be wiping their memory, but can't battle the overall power of the human mind. That sometimes, a human's consciousness will refuse to forget about something, and continually put forward clues for its host body to re-discover the truth.

And just a nice little synchrotastic log to add to the fire...
After listening to this podcast, I just wanted to see if my blog was coming up on google. So I searched '333 Dominic Risso'.  The first page was a man named Dominic Rizzo's twitter account. His handle of course being @drizz333.

And now the clincher. After I did a little research, I decided to e-mail Mike. Any time I see someone talk about 333, I'll go out of my way to ask them for assistance in my ongoing quest for answers. Mike was kind enough to write me back. He said: "...I am not sure what these might mean, but I sense it is a cosmic "urging" to pay attention. Beyond that, i can't really say." I found it interesting because when I conversed with synchromystic blogger, Christopher C. Myers, he said something very similar. I couldn't help but think though, "WHAT AM I PAYING ATTENTION TO???"  The next day, on August 24th, I woke up to news about a shooting at the empire state building. Just another shooting to add to the list, which seem to be occurring quicker than every before.  The shooting of course took place primarily on 33rd street.

In closing, I can't say I was abducted or that I even believe such a possibility is plausible. I'm very skeptical of the whole alien abduction phenom. But regardless, I've learned throughout the last couple years, that when the universe presents things to you in such an abrupt fashion, that even if it is balls to the walls owl shit crazy, that it's not a bad thing to look in to it.  It doesn't matter if you believe it or not. You can be an atheist and read the bible and not burst in to flames.

Fantastic Fourth Dimensional Happy Hour

I just recently listened to an interview on Red Ice Radio featuring Bob Frissell.  He discussed 2012, ages, Atlantis, Greys, etc.  The following is an excerpt:

"When we get to the fourth dimension, the manifestation is instant. In other words, whatever
you think, whatever you feel is the instantly manifested reality. So the time delay has been completely removed."

Now, for me personally, this time delay seems to be decreasing exponentially.  Maybe a year ago, I would've thought of someone and a week would go by before they called me out of the blue.  Now a days, as short as a couple hours could pass before manifestation.

An example:

Last night, I watched a Japanese film called, 'I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay'.  Pretty good movie. A big aspect of the film dealt with the main character's relationship with her Granny.  Specifically involving Granny's dentures.
After this movie ended, the next film put on was a Clint Eastwood classic, 'Every Which Way But Loose'.  And yes, that is the one where he's a bare knuckle street fighter with a pet orangutan.  About 20 minutes in, Clint's character is at the bar, trying to seduce a local girl. She ends up being rude to him, so he responds with a playful joke. That being, the old, "Dentures in her bowl of soup gag".
I don't think about dentures too often, and here they are, brought to my attention, twice in a matter of 2 hours.
I should also mention that the biker gang in this film goes by the name, "The Black Widows"

Now if indeed, this time delay is decreasing. Whether it be by natural means, a glitch in the matrix, or simply because our planet is in the process of realigning itself with the center of the galaxy, I do believe this is happening. I thought to myself, well if this is true, then I'll test it out.  A week back, I tried thinking of the most random thing I could....hmmm...WALRUS! Then  I sat back and waited for a walrus to show up.  The next day, I'm online and see a Ferris Bueller commercial for the upcoming Super Bowl game at the time.  I watched it only to find this stare off between Matthew Broderick and....you guessed it. A fucking walrus

We definitely live in exciting times. Let's embrace it.
